The LGBTQ community was finding itself looking for places which were intuitively friendly towards them and would make them comfortable. Where they would not have to conceal their sexual identity and could express with freedom. There are many such places that have opened in the United States of America that afford them a space to call their own, where they feel at home, and are not questioned. India also has LGBTQ friendly places. We mention some such places both in the US and India. 

Cuties in Los Angeles California is a coffee shop that is LA’s only LGBT community focused coffee shop. There are events that provide an opportunity for the LGBT US community to mingle without fear. 

Lil Deb’s Oasis, New York is a colorful place that offers a personal space to the LGBTQ community and also has place for private parties. 

Café #377, recently opened in Kolkata -India, works on a theme of pink. It was designed to be welcoming to people from all sections of society and not just the LGBTQ community in India. But, the LGBT community persons feel very comfortable in the non-judgmental atmosphere of the café. The owner is open to the idea of employing people from the LGBT community. 

Kolkata has many LGBTQ friendly places. Amra Odbhut café, Chit Chaat, Café 75 etc. The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group in India is known to be LGBTQ friendly. The Executive Director Keshav Suri has time and again been vocal of the support his company gives the LGBT community. 

The Lalit Group organized a successful job fair for the LGBT Community recently. The community and corporates both participated. All Lalit Group properties like hotels, palaces, resorts are inclusive spaces, and they have hired and trained over 100 LGBT persons across functions and positions. The Pink Parties at the Lalit Great Eastern Kolkata are getting favorable reactions and response from people.
